thanks to the wonderful, amazing, incredible
vimeslady, we now have
Tombstone soundtrack in all its GLORY.
glory, hallelujah...
...half of it is technical: rather not a melody but a life-accompanying sound, and if you remember what scene went with it, it comes alive in memory, and if you haven't seen the film, it's just that, technical support. but OH MY GOD the other half.
you don't have to know
anything to hear the thunder, the earth burning under feet, the storm, the gunpowder... and the sweetest tones of kinship, and the spice & snark of irony... trumpets and strings, OMG. listening to the score
walk through the variations of a theme is a heart-melting delight. [and the theme itself? it's there on the bonus disc, separate, pure, 2+ minutes of soundgasm. it rocks, it rumbles, it brings 'laughing murder' to mind!]
...and then there's... love, I guess, and hope, joined in passages of depth and/or tenderness breath-taking in the eye of the storm. all in one track. sorry, it pwns my music-loving soul.
when I come home, there will be [more] spam '-)

in RL news, my discman is slowly dying on me, and a surprising number of people is absent from the office. if there was a skip work conspiracy, I've not been let in. as usual. so it's 6 more hours to go, aargh '-)
