[sometimes, personally, extended to legend-space, where all products of human narrative nature are. it is... awe-inspiring, certainly.] multiple davids: a phenomenon & a personal oddity. turns out that when I express an interest in something a David often happens to be involved. so I looked at my profile, which was listing at least 4 Ds and expanding... and collapsed it '-) mahabharata: "the great Bharata," Indian epic of innumerable values & wonders. I learned about it when I was a kid, because... Soviet kids read unexpected books? an abridged version, of course, but enough to fall in love with. I am an amateur, a passing acquaintance, but it is so grand it cannot be helped, it's still here inside, influencing, inspiring. stationery: as in "paper, writing implements, office supplies," and it's an addiction, like sunglasses and books and chocolate. a visit to a decent shop works miracles on my disposition, it does, even if I do not buy a thing '-) ∞: it is infinity, folks. no end. forever contained in a perfect symbol. and I am spiritually, mathematically & artistically attracted to it. ~ in other exciting news, we have seen the movie version of the origins of Wolverine now. hell yeah '-) Tags: meme

(a crazy quasi-poetic experiment bringing Ecks from Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever and Sands from Once Upon a Time in Mexico closer than is proper and safe. in particular, I love how the liquid theme holds, and the thing flows smoothly despite, well, everything #-) ~ A Delicate Hand! [one word: 'coronary' #-) a few more words: gods help me, it works so wickedly sweetly. plus, you know me & hands. in a way it's a story of self loving, 'cause it's got indulgence written all over it.] ~ Loose Ends! [my first and only proper Discworld fic, folks, and said to be a good one too. I love how easily, in fact, it came to me, both imagery and words. I love how right it feels, up to the [in]famous "What, why?"] ~ they dance alone and see me not! [the story of these two is probably longer than the stories themselves. in short, I loved League of Extraordinary Gentlemen's idea of Mina Harker meeting Captain Nemo. I also liked its freehand approach to various bits of canon, so I dragged fused several versions of Ms.Harker and the Captain for the two vignettes. I love how they just are there, no backstory, no reason, no excuse. if I ever captured sensual, it is there.] ~ *deep breath* Interesting Times three-piece! (yes, the criminally insane Star Wars alternate reality one. part 1 was very hard to write, being a request & not exactly my thing, and I love to know I made it.
